  1. The testes are one of the reproductive organs found in males which produces sperm and the hormone testosterone.
  2. The testes contain germ cells that differentiate into mature spermatozoa, supporting cells called Sertoli cells, and testosterone-producing cells called Leydig (interstitial) cells.
