1. During the change of state, the arrangement of the molecules or atoms change.
2. In solids, the arrangement is compact, and particles are held close to each other.
3. In gaseous state, they are freely placed into the space with no specific arrangement and no molecules are held together.
4. In liquids, the arrangement of particles is in intermediate state with respect to solids and liquid. That is niether held so close as in solids and nor so free that there is no interaction between the particles.
5. So,when we say that change in state has taken place in a reaction,we say the change in arrangement of the particles.
