a. Jim crow laws that legally disfranchised the Afro Americans resulted in the segregation of Blacks,
b. It also curtailed their freedoms, liberties.
c. The laws segregated the blacks in education, public services, it regulated their behaviour, who the blacks could marry or adopt, even while using public transport Blacks were made to sit at the back or use separate transportation.
d. Thomas Nast who was a cartoonist , denounced such laws and considered these laws worst than slavery.


After the civil war, Blacks were segregated, there were separate laws that differentiated between them and the Whites. Black codes were adopted which were discriminatory in nature.
