Question

What differences can you find in the animals of the bathyal zone when compared to animals of the euphotic zone?

Solution

Most fish that live in the bathyal zone are either black or red in color. This is as a defense against predators. They also have animals with tubular bodies such as squids and large animals like whales, etc.

The organisms living in the euphotic zone are mostly floaters and swimmers. Animals in this zone usually have shiny bodies reflecting light away to merge with shiny water surfaces that are transparent. These usually have very sharp vision.
