  2. HDAC inhibitors stand for Histone deacetylase.
  3. They are a new class of anti-cancer agents that play the roles in epigenetic or non-epigenetic regulation which induces death and cell cycle arrest in cancer cells.
  4. Their role is to enhance the acetylation of Lysine residues which is present on the histone proteins and other non-histone proteins through inhibition of HDAC enzyme activity.
