  1. The force of attraction that moves the body towards the centre of the earth is called gravity or the gravitational force of the earth.
  2. Whenever objects fall towards Earth under the Earth's gravitational force alone are called freely falling bodies and such a fall is called free fall.
  3. Freeling falling body fall's with an acceleration of 9.8 ms-2.

Hence, the gravitational force between Earth and an object is called gravity.
