What do you mean by breeding of sheep? Why is it done?

Breeding is done to obtain animals with desired characters . The two individuals of desirable character can be selected as parents. These are then crossed [ made to reproduce ] to obtain new breed of the animals having desirable characters of both parents . This is called selective breeding.
This will improve the characters of new offspring
