Solution
Change of state means a change from one state to another, for example, an ice cube melts on heating so from the solid-state it changes into a liquid state.
In this way, a solid can be changed into a liquid and a liquid can be changed into a gas.
The state of matter can be changed when the temperature changes.
Hence the physical state of matter can be changed by applying pressure and temperature.
Generally, when the temperature rises the matter moves to a more active state.
The three states of matter that is solid, liquid, and gas which on applying temperature and pressure can interchange into each other.
