Solution

Cryogenic hardening is a cryogenic treatment process where the metal is cooled to approximately − 185C, usually using liquid nitrogen. It can have a profound effect on the mechanical properties of certain steels. Metals frozen to low temperature showed more resistance to wear and tear. This is known as cryogenic hardening.
