An electric shock is the physiological reaction from the human body when electric current passes through the body.
An electric shock occurs when a person comes into contact with an electrical energy source. Electrical energy flows through a portion of the body causing a shock. Exposure to electrical energy may result in no injury at all or may result in devastating damage or as fatal as death also. Many people get electric shocks obtained from objects such as electrical appliances, electrical wires, and electrical circuits when touched.
It may take place due to touching of faulty appliances or when there is insulation loss over the wires in the circuit or lack of grounding of appliances and handled with wet hands.
