Define linear pair of angles:

When two lines cross at a single point, a linear pair of angles is generated. If the angles are adjacent to each other they are considered to be linear.

A linear pair's sum of angles is always 180 degrees.

Supplementary angles are another name for these types of angles.

In the below figure, AOPandBOP form linear pair and AOP+BOP=180°.

Hence, Linear pair is a pair of adjacent angles where the non-common side forms a straight line.
