What do you mean by moment of a force?
The moment of a force basically determines the turning effect of a force i.e., the tendency to rotate. A force tends to rotate the body about any axis which does not intersect the line of action of the force and is not parallel to it. The magnitude of the moment of force about a point is defined as the product of the magnitude of force and the perpendicular distance of the point from the line of action of the force.
