Plants are capable of preparing their own food. The mode of nutrition in which organisms make their own food using sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide. This mode of nutrition where in the organisms prepare their own food is known as autotrophic nutrition.
As this occurs in present of light in the form of sunlight, it is also known as Photo autotrophic nutrition.
