Polar and Non-Polar Molecules: Molecules can be grouped as polar or non-polar molecules. Some molecules are in between the two. The arrangement or geometry of the atoms in some molecules is such that one end of the molecule has a positive electrical charge and the other side has a negative charge.
Examples of polar molecules: Water-H2O, Ammonia-NH3,Sulphur dioxide-SO2 etc.
Examples of non-polar molecules:Benzene-C6H6, Methane-CH4,Hydrocarbon liquids such as gasolene and toluene etc.
