Solution

Define unique solution in linear equations.

A unique solution to a set of linear equations exist, when

  • If we have two lines with equations ax+by+c=0andpx+qy+r=0. Then, it will have a unique solution if we have only one pair of (x,y) which satisfy both equations of the line after substitution.
  • From the graphical method, if the graphs of linear equations intersect at only one point. Then, the given set has a unique solution.
