1. Acetic acid, also known as Ethanoic acid has the chemical formula CH3COOH.
Neutralization of FeCl3:
1. Neutralized Ferric Chloride (FeCl3) is used in the test between Phenols and Alcohols.
2. Ferric Chloride is neutralized by Acetic acid, where Ferric Acetate is formed as a product.
3. The reaction is given below:
3CH3COOH (l)+FeCl3(s)CH3COO3Fe (s)+3HCl (l)
4. In the neutralization of Ferric acid, red wine coloration can be seen.

Red wine coloration is observed when Acetic acid neutralizes FeCl3 solution.
