Copper sulfate is normally found in the form of blue crystals, copper (II) sulfate pentahydrate and on heating copper sulfate pentahydrate turns white due to loss of water from blue copper sulfate.It has water of hydration which forms water vapour on heating, leaving white anhydrous copper sulphate.
