What do you think electrical energy actually is? For what do you pay your electricity bill?

Electrical energy is the flow of charge. That is, the amount of electric charge we used for the working of appliances (bulb,fan etc).

Electricity bill is the money we have to pay for this electric charge.

. Normal house hold appliances has a rating given in watt. Like the 100 Watt bulb, 80 Watt fan, 40 Watt tube light etc. (Watt actually represents the power requirement of any of these electrical items.)

Now, if you multiply this power with the time for which you used them.
then we get the amount of electric charge the items have consumed.

Then, for amount of electric charge we used we have to pay money.
