Solution

Interneurons:

  1. Interneurons (sometimes called association neurons) are neurons that only exist in the central nervous system. i.e. It's only found in the brain and spinal cord, not the rest of the nervous system.
  2. Association neurons are nerve cells found exclusively inside the central nervous system that operates as a link between sensory neurons and motor neurons or connects with other interneurons in a network or route within the CNS and transfers impulses from the motor neuron to the CNS.
  3. Interneurons connect the spinal motor and sensory neurons, as their name implies.
  4. Interneurons can connect with one other and build complex circuits in addition to conveying signals between sensory and motor neurons.
  5. They, like motor neurons, are multipolar.
