What do you understand by parametric shift of a line? How does a line shift when its (i) slope decreases (ii) its intercept increases?
A parametric shift in a graph due to the change in the value of a parameter of the function.
(i) A positively sloping straight line swings upwards at its slope is decreases, with the intercept remaining the same.
(ii) A positively sloping straight line shifts upwards as its intercept is increased. The slope will remain the same and the two lines will be parallel.
