What do you understand by STD's? What are preventive measures of it?

STDs refer to the Sexually Transmitted Diseases or often regarded as veneral diseases. These are the diseases transferred from affected individual to healthy individual by unprotected sexual contact. For example - AIDS (Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome), genital herpes, gonorrhea etc .

Preventive measures against STDs:

1) Avoid sex with multiple and unknown partner ,

2) Prefer safe sex (use of condom during coitus) ,

3) Timely check-up is signs and symptoms of disease are discovered ,

4) Avoid sharing blades and needles ,

5) Check blood before blood transfusion , etc.
