a) What is Intercropping?
Inter cropping is an agricultural technique involving the simultaneous planting or cultivation of more than one crop on the same piece of property. It implies that more than one plant sort grows simultaneously in the same room. Intercropping's primary aim is to generate more plants in a particular region. It also uses energy (nutrients) not used by a single plant otherwise. Crops are chosen to be distinct in terms of their nutrient demands. The plants can, therefore, yield the same yields but require less room.
b) Organic Farming?
Organic farming, the farming system using ecologically oriented pest controls and biological fertilizers mainly obtained from animal and plant waste and nitrogen-fixing plants. In India, organic farming is not new and has been pursued since ancient times. Organic farming keeps the soil alive and in excellent health by using organic waste (crop, animal and farm waste, aquatic waste) and other biological materials along with beneficial microbes (bio fertilizers) to release nutrients to plants in an Eco-friendly setting for sustainable production. Organic methods can boost farm productivity, repair decades of environmental harm, and knead small farm families into more sustainable distribution networks, leading to enhanced food security if they organize themselves in manufacturing, certification, and marketing.
c) Animal Husbandry
Animal husbandry is the farming arm of livestock raised for meat, fiber, milk, eggs, or other products. It involves daily care, selective breeding and animal husbandry. Animal husbandry is concerned with animal care. A big proportion of farmers in India rely for their livelihood on animal husbandry. Animal husbandry, therefore, plays a major role in the rural economy
