(i) Crystals: These are defined as homogenous solids having definite shapes.

They are bound to one another by plane surfaces at a particular angle.

For example, a crystal of table salt, a crystal of sugar, etc.

(ii) Amorphous solid: These are defined as the solids which may or may not be homogenous also they are not bound to each other at particular angles.

Example of homogenous solid includes plastic, rubber, etc.

(iii) Crystallisation: It is the process of separating crystals from hot solutions by cooling them.

An example includes the crystallization of water to form ice crystals, etc.
