What do you understand by the term 'inland drainage'?

A river usually has deta or estuary in sea or ocean. If instead it fall into a lake or disappers in the sands of a desert then this is known as inland drainage.
Some characteristics are:
1. In inland drainage streams join lake and inland sea
2. They are fed by rainy water
3. During rainy season they experience flood
4. During dry season they get dry
For example river Volga falls in capstan sea which is the largest salt water lake of Eurasia.
