  5. -2 charge indicates that any compound, molecule, or atom loses two electrons and becomes an anionic species.
  6. The example of a +2 charge is as follows: Barium(Ba2+), Cadmium(Cd2+), Lead(Pb2+), etc.
  7. Barium loses its two electrons from the outermost shell to form (Ba2+)
