Solution

The correct option is B Comparitive size of the data points
Consider a data set.
23 16 07
17 01 15
25 30 19

The stem and leaf plot is as follows: Stem Leaf
0
1
2
3
1, 7
5, 6, 7, 9
3, 5
0

Procedure: The stem consists of the tens place digit and the corresponding leaf column consists of the respective ones place digit of a number.

For example, the tens place digit of 23, i.e., 2 goes to the stem column, and the ones place digit, i.e., 3 goes to the corresponding leaf column, shown here in the third row.

The stem and leaf plot shows that the data points lie from single digit numbers to 30s.
Also, we can easily compare the data point and conclude that more data points are in 10s.

However, it does not give any data trend, such as increasing or decreasing, as given by a line graph.

Options (a) and (b) are correct.
