Nervous system:

  1. The system of organs present in the animals that control and coordinate different activities of the body is called the nervous sytem.
  2. It is divided into two parts central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system.

Central nervous system:

  1. It consists of the brain and spinal cord.
  2. The function of the CNS is to receive sensory information from the body and interpret it accordingly.
  3. The brain is the complex organ that controls memory, emotion, thought, touch, vision, hearing, breathing, etc. It regulates every process of our body.
  4. The spinal cord is a long, tube-like band of tissue. The nerve signals from the brain to the body and vice versa are carried out by the spinal cord.
