what does hydrocloric acid and calcium react to give?

Calcium react with hydrochloric acid to produce hydrogen gas, when it reacts it produce bubbles of hydrogen gas and when large chunks of calcium react with hydrochloric acid it will explode because the heat energy is enough to ignite hydrogen to explode. So becareful when doing this experiment.
