Parallel Lines:

• The slope of the parallel lines will be equal but the Y-intercept will be different.

If $y=mx+c_1$ is the equation of a line, then the equation of a line parallel will be $y=mx+c_2$, where $x,y$are coordinates, $m$is the slope and $c_1,c_2$ are the Y-intercepts of the first and second lines respectively.

If $r$ and $s$are two parallel lines, it is denoted as $r\parallel s$and the same kind of arrow in the middle represents that the lines are parallel when a diagram is given.
