• President-----Elected by Electoral college---- Term 5 Years
• Lok Sabha---- 545 members-----Term 5 Years---- 543 Directly elected body of the people
• Lok Sabha ( House of the People )---2 members from Anglo Indian community---Nominated by the President
• Rajya Sabha ( Council of States )---- 250 members-----Permanent body----1/3rd of its members retire ever two years
• Rajya Sabha---12 members are nominated by the President of India
• 238 seats -------indirectly elected through proportional representation system by a single transferable vote---- by the representative from various states and Union Territories.
