What does the figure given below represent?
Interdependence between plants and animals
There is an interdependence between the plants and animals. In an ecosystem, plants act as the producers and the animals including humans are the consumers. Plants produce their own food by the process of photosynthesis but animals are incapable of doing so. So animals feed on plants to get their nutrition and energy. Also, plants take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen in the process of photosynthesis and animals take in oxygen during respiration and give out carbon dioxide.
