Due to the presence of the cell wall in a plant cell, cytokinesis in a plant cell is different from that of an animal cell. In plants, during cytokinesis small vesicles are formed between the daughter cells. These small vesicles combine to form a cell plate. The cell plate extends to two sides and joins with the plasma membrane. Cellulose gets deposited on the cell plate and the cell wall is formed.
