Breeding: It is sexual reproduction that produces offspring, usually animals or plants. It can only occur between a male and a female animal or plant.

There are 3 types of breeding:

1. Inbreeding: Breeding of the related animals as male and dam female is known as inbreeding.
2. Outbreeding: Outbreeding of unrelated animals as male and female is known as outbreeding
3. Cross-breeding: individuals of different breeds or lines are used to mate.
4. Example of cross-breeding Yorkshire and Duroc breeds of pigs.
5. The level of inbreeding depends on the level of familiarity.
