What does the nucleus of an atom contain?
Atom-The smallest unit of matter that exhibits the same physical and chemical properties as the element is called an atom.
The atom can be further divided into the following subatomic particles -
Proton - It is the positively charged subatomic particle of an atom.
Neutrons - It is the subatomic particle of an atom that carries no charge.
Electrons - It is the negatively charged subatomic particle of an atom.
Nucleus - It is the core of the atom. It consists of protons and neutrons (collectively called nucleons).
