Open in App
Solution

The poet describes the elephant as an animal of great strength. The poet says that with a single "whisk of his nose", the elephant could uproot an oak and with a "wave of his trunk and a turn of his chin" the elephant could pull down a house or "pick up a pin". He could possibly be the strongest creature on earth.
