Solution

Property of immune system :

Immune system has the following properties:
Specificity
Ability to distinguish between self and non-self molecules
Memory

Effector and memory cells:

When the naive B cells and T cells come in contact with the antigen for the first time, they simultaneously produce effector cells (which eliminates the antigens) as well as long-lived memory cells.

During a second contact with the same kind of antigen, the memory cells recognise it, leading to a quicker and heightened immune response.
