Question

What effect does the concentration of H+ (aq) have on the acidic nature of solution?

Open in App
Solution

The concentration of H+ ion determine the acidic nature of the solution and acidity of the solution.
The acidic nature of the solution increases as the concentration of the H+ ion increases.
This can be also understood by the equation of pH
pH=log10[H+]
Here for more acidic solution, the pH value is smaller and the concentration of H+ is more.
