Solution

In response to a rise in blood pressure, the heart releases two peptides hormones namely A-type Natriuretic peptide (ANP) B-type Natriuretic Peptide (BNP).
Both hormones lower blood pressure relaxing arterioles, inhibiting the secretion of renin and aldosterone and inhibiting the reabsorption of sodium ions by the kidneys.
