Adaptation in birds:

  1. Birds have a streamlined body which makes it easier for them to move through the air.
  2. They have light-weighted and hollow bones which makes the body lighter making it easier to fly.
  3. The forelimbs are modified into wings which are covered by feathers.
  4. The shoulder bones are strong.
  5. The breastbones are modified to hold muscles of flight which is used to move the wings up and down.
