1. During the later Vedic period, there was development in trade, which led to the introduction of coins and barter system was abolished
2. Sea routes were introduced and it was evident from trade houses developed near the ports
3. Since the basis for infrastructure like trade, roadways, sea routes etc were introduced, the later Vedic period was termed as ‘period of second urbanisation’
