What first aids should be given for burns and small cuts?

First aid:

  1. First-aid is the immediate, temporary care given to an injured or sick person before the person is taken to a doctor or hospital.

First aids for burns:

  1. Holding of the burned area under cool running water for 10-15 minutes or unless the pain is reduced.
  2. Removal of tight items or rings from the burned area.
  3. If blisters appear, the burned area should be cleaned and antibiotic ointment should be applied on it.
  4. The burned area should be covered with a non-stick bandage.

First aids for small cuts:

  1. Firstly, the area should be washed.
  2. Then it should be cleaned with cotton dipped in antiseptic liquid like dettol, savlon.
  3. Next, an antiseptic cream should be applied on the cut.
  4. Lastly, a clean bandage should be tied on the cut.
