Solution

Step 1-

Given Data;

Moment of a force, M.F=4.5N-m

Force, F=?

Perpendicular distance, d= 20cm=20×10-2m

Step 2-

Formula used;

Momentofforce=Force×perpendiculardistancebetweentheforceandturningpoint

M.F=F×d

Step 3-

Calculation;

M.F=F×d4.5Nm=F×20×10-2m4.5=F×20×10-2F=4.520×10-2=45×10220×10=452=22.5F=22.5N

Hence, force is 22.5Newton.
