  1. Photosynthesis is a very important process occurring in all green plants, algae as well as fungi.
  2. It is an endothermic process in which a series of reactions occurs by which light energy is converted into chemical energy.
  3. Raw materials required are:- Carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight.
  4. The gas used up is carbon dioxide.
  5. The end product obtained by photosynthesis are glucose and oxygen.
  6. Oxygen is given out as a waste product during photosynthesis.
