Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
Myofibrils form muscle fibres which are made up of myofilaments which further is composed of proteins, myosin and actin. The number of muscle fibres increases by either causing some injury in the muscle fibres or by carrying out exercise. Satellite cells which are the stem cells of muscle fibres divide and differentiate to form other stem cells and new muscle fibres. During exercise cells get damaged which is repaired by satellite cells forming new cells.
