Glycolysis:

  1. Glycolysis is the primary step of cellular respiration, that occurs in all organisms.
  2. It is the process in which a glucose molecule is broken down into two molecules of pyruvate.
  3. This process takes place inside the cytoplasm of the plant as well as animal cells.
  4. Six enzymes were involved in the process.
  5. The end products of this reaction are 2 pyruvates, 2 ATP and 2 NADH molecules.
