Question

What happens if the forest area decreases rapidly ?

Open in App
Solution

The forest area is decreasing due to the activities of humans. Deforestation may result in the deficient supply of energy resources like wood, charcoal, etc. There will be no plants which are medicinal in nature. There will be a loss of biodiversity and wildlife habitat which causes problems like soil erosion, flood, global warming, the flow of soil to the water leading in barren lands, etc. There will be no source of the forests products like timber, fibres, paper, medicines, nuts, herbs, fruits, etc.
