Solution

Dispersion:

  1. Dispersion is the splitting of white light into its constituent colors.
  2. During dispersion, white light is spread across its entire wavelength spectrum.
  3. A spectrum is formed when light is refracted.
  4. The angle at which the various colors deviate is different for each color.
  5. Red deviates the least, while violet deviates the most, forming the lower part of the spectrum.
  6. A rainbow arch in the sky, for example, is caused by color dispersion.
