Solution

Dear student,
As water is known as a universal solvent so the salt particles will dissolve in it and form a mixture of salt and water. In the mixture
sodium and chlorine ions separate and attach themselves to individual water molecules. The resulting solution becomes an electrolyte which means it's capable of conducting electricity.
