Acceleration of body:

  1. The rate of change of velocity is referred to as the body's acceleration.
  2. Acceleration is a vector quantity.
  3. For a body to come to rest, we must provide retardation to the body which is negative acceleration.
  4. After the body stops, its velocity becomes zero. As a result, the acceleration also becomes zero.
