Question

What happens to the boiling point of water when a volatile solute is added to it?

Open in App
Solution

Water shows normal boiling point when a volatile solute is added to it. This is because, volatile substances form vapours at very low temperature or temperature below 100 degrees. Thus, when water reached it's boiling point, there is not other solute in it, so it boils at normal boiling point.
